Inspiring a Love of Music: One Violin at a Time
Gorrie Elementary is proud to be one of the few schools in Hillsborough County to offer in-school violin instruction to all students. While funding was eliminated from the district several years ago, the John B. Gorrie Foundation has kept this incredible program alive, thanks to the generosity of our community and events like the Gorrie Gala.

Kindergarten and First Grade Strings
Violin instruction is offered free of charge as part of the regular music curriculum. While no payment is required, we kindly ask families to complete a brief registration form to help us learn more about your child and their musical background. This helps our instructor better tailor the experience to each student.
