Gorrie Cares Service Club is a PTA sponsored student club devoted to community service.  Gorrie Students K-5, in coordination with our neighbors, the seniors at Horizon Bay (Independent/Assisted Living facility adjacent to our school), will work on three service projects to help other kids and families in the community.

Details regarding each service project will be on the web site and shared with Gorrie families in our Email Blast.  All student work on the projects will occur on three Mondays after early release from 1:15pm to 2:30 pm. Any interested K-5 student can volunteer to be a participant.  Additionally, 3rd through 5th graders are eligible to volunteer as a student facilitator.

Student facilitators will work under the guidance of PTA volunteers in order to research the selected community organization, determine the needs and scope of the project, advertise the project and lead the team of volunteers to complete the project. Participants sign up by sending an email (include your name, grade, and teacher) to either Jen Pope or Darice Dennis.

Student facilitators must complete the application for Gorrie Cares Service Club Student Facilitator, which can be found at the following link:  Gorrie Cares Student Facilitator Form/Application.
